Director, Advisor Training Center of Excellence (Virtual)-AGE0001U
The Director, Centers of Excellence, has two key areas of responsibility. The primary one is recruiting, selection, training, coaching, and ongoing development of the Managers of Training for the Centers of Excellence. The secondary, but as important, responsibility is the oversight of the delivery of the producer and management curriculum, training processes, and key development initiatives through the Centers of Excellence at a national scope. This role can be located virtually anywhere in the continental United States. This Director, Center of Excellence, reports directly to the Management and Practice Development Vice President
The Centers of Excellence are:
Sales Skills and Client Engagement
Advisor Service and Financial Planning
New FP Training and Technology Adoption
Manage the Managers of Training for the Centers of Excellence and recruit, select, train, coach, and develop the Managers of Training for the Centers of Excellence
Identify gaps in skills and knowledge in the curriculum and training processes for their work stream’s Center of Excellence on a national scope
Communicates these gaps, recommends and implements solutions
Establish metrics, on a national scope, in partnership with Prudential Advisors Senior Leadership team and Planning Analysis, for their workstream/Center of Excellence. Synthesizes information from the metrics and a variety of sources in order to maintain an overall picture of the centralized learning organization’s efforts and impact in the field, recommends and facilitates solutions when problems are identified
Participates, as a member of the Talent Development’s Directors team, understanding the strategic goals of the centralized learning organization on a national scope and Prudential Advisors, providing guidance on how training can optimally support the achievement of these goals
Communicate key issues to the Practice Development Vice President to identify additional strategies, curriculum, and learning events, for the centers of excellence that would be needed at a national scope for producer and management development in the field.
Ensures the utilization of all training methods at a national level (with a heavy emphasis on technology and virtual tools), based upon the field needs, Centers of Excellence training topics, and Professional Development and Prudential Advisors initiatives and key strategies
Ensures that there is strong collaboration with the field and Centers of Excellence on a national scope that provide for the development of Financial Professional’s skills and knowledge
Ensures that the field leadership understand how the Centers of Excellence support the achievement of the firms WIGs and objectives
Partners with all Centers of Excellence Directors and home office Subject Matter Expert teams for cross training in each Center of Excellence and the execution nationally of the training strategy and curriculum of the Centers of Excellence
Bachelors Degree required.
Five years plus experience with managing remote teams, training and development processes, and projects
Strong understanding of sales and sales practices required
Experience managing and leading groups of people who are both direct reports and home office resource teams
Ability to travel domestically as needed (25% minimum)
Experiencing managing centralized training teams who are specialists that support the field
Strong leadership skills
Strong Coaching skills
Strong communication skills
Analytical skills and experience in identifying gaps in skills and knowledge and doing training processes needs analysis
Strong relationship building, partnering, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
Problem solving skills and the ability to recommend and implement creative solutions for skill and process improvements
Strong facilitation and presentation skills especially in the area of virtual training and development
Demonstrated ability and skills to operate independently on a national scope
