VP of Marketing
The position provides administrative support to the VP of Marketing. This position will be responsible for updating various social media platforms on a consistent basis. The PR & Social Media Manager assists with promotions and public events and coordinates press releases and communication through the various PR agencies and medias. This position requires consistent adherence to policies and procedures of the department as outlined in the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOP’S).
Update and maintain press kits, files, photography, PR bulletin board, PR section of the website.
Attend hotel promotional events as needed.
Assist with reservations and itineraries for Press trips and individual press visits.
Create and process PO’s/Expense Reports/Invoices for approval in a timely manner.
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
Prepare Monthly PR report
Ensure all relevant news is disseminated through these networks with channel-appropriate content.
Initiate conversations and build relationships with digital influencers on a consistent basis.
Prepare monthly Social Media Report.
Read industry and social media news and training materials provided by VP Marketing.
Assist with planning and implementing special social media promotional events/related media coverage.
Coordinate administrative/clerical services and activities.
Copy writer responsibility
Experience and Education Required
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field preferred.
Minimum three years’ experience in marketing/PR role preferred, hospitality experience preferred
Must be able to:

Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Use, carry, and operate all necessary office equipment using finger dexterity.
Communicate with employees, managers, subordinates and guests through verbal communication, hearing ability, and visual acuity.
Visually look at a computer for extended periods of time.
Adapt to moderate temperatures in the hotel as thermostat is controlled by hotel environmental systems. Most work tasks are performed indoors.
