The Dump is looking for a high energy, multi-tasker who enjoys leading a team and merchandising to drive profitable sales. Tuesday through Saturday work schedule!
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for: the placement of merchandise on the showroom floor while being concerned with overall display and design; implementation of corporate design standards through related tasks, design details; promoting an open line of communication between Visual, Corporate CDMC, Buying and Management; supervision of the floor crew during movement of merchandise to and from the showroom floor, as well as movement of merchandise within the showroom.
To foster a Visual team that promotes the rapid sale of products using their knowledge of visual merchandising, in store marketing and design through merchandise display.
Coordinating the Visual team to properly display merchandise in the showroom to promote sales.
Insures that all projects are completed in a timely manner.
Responsible for design work that includes, but is not limited to, picking rugs, accessories, and tables for Vignettes on the showroom floor as well as assisting the sales staff and customers with design solutions when needed to encourage the sale of merchandise.
Responsible for new product flow and display using daily schedules, knowledge of styles and price points.
Ensures all product transfers to or from the showroom floor are correctly documented and scanned.
Must be flexible with work schedules and be available, as needed, to work evenings, holidays, and weekends, with or without advance notices
Creates and executes on Planogram
Holds employees to corporate standards and accountable for efficiency and quality of their work.
Responsible for performance appraisal process of each visual team member under your direction, including written reviews, counseling, and pay increases.
With the help of the Buying Department, assists in ensuring all merchandise is sampled on the showroom floor.
Understands and adheres to Company Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Policy and Procedures manual
Assist sales staff with merchandising and inventory issues
Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by managementSPECIFIC COMPETENCIES/ SKILLS: Must enjoy working with people and work closely with other departments; must be very flexible to change directions quickly and easily; must be able to manage multiple projects. Must have a professional demeanor at all times. Must be willing to assist customers and sales associates with design solutions to encourage the sale of merchandise.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Design or Visual Merchandising preferred or equivalent experience
Experience: 4-5 years previous experience in Visual Design, preferably in a retail environment (furniture preferred)
Skills: Basic computer skills including Word and Excel,
Communication: Excellent communication and writing skills; strong interpersonal skill
