Short Description
The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for Managing and maintaining all equipment in the Operating room setting under the direction of OR Nursing Leadership and Biomedical Engineering. Represent department in meetings, committees, etc. and act as liaison to all supporting departments.
- Facilitate communication on equipment availability, repair/replacement and inventory locations at direction of Unit leadership.

Responsible to attend environment of care rounds and follow through on items identified during Environment of Care rounds.

Responsible for coordination of equipment delivery, repair, arranging access to ORs when necessary.
- Work with Biomed and CSP to ensure repairs, etc. are expedited. Work with outside vendors with specialized equipment to ensure repairs etc. are expedited.

Maintain records around the equipment for reference such as IFUs.

Collaborate with Periop Business Admin Director to Collect information for OR Value Analysis Committee (OR VA) and to support Capital and operating budget process.

Collaborates with Biomedical Engineering department to maintain up to date list of OR inventory equipment.

Responsible for collaborating with Perioperative Services Education and Development Coordinator and OR Leadership team on equipment education and competency for staff.

Attends Or scheduling Huddle and Reviews upcoming OR schedule for equipment needs and effectively manages and equipment needs or concerns.
- Collaborates with the Nursing Director of Quality Practice and innovation on Nursing focused quality initiatives, organizational performance as it relates to NDNQI.

Support OR staff to troubleshoot and setup of OR equipment.
Experience Required

3-5 years of similar experience preferred
Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Scheduled Days / Hours: Monday- Friday Day shift 40hrs
