Clinical Field Specialist
The Clinical Field Specialist will provide technical, educational, and clinical study support to meet study and investigational objectives. The Clinical Field Specialist will support clinical investigators who are using Philips coronary and peripheral vascular devices in investigational clinical programs and will assist with the design and conduct of all protocol and device training programs for Philips Image-Guided Therapies
You are responsible for:
Supporting medical device clinical trials by coordinating and managing site activities pertaining to qualification, initiation and ongoing site and case support
Providing in-service education and training for physicians and hospital personnel on study related documents, processes and devices in support of Philips clinical trials
Demonstrating clinical knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and cardiology/peripheral disease states to include SOC treatment stratification and practice norms
Providing protocol adherence and technical assistance during clinical study procedures with Philips coronary and peripheral vascular devices
Documenting user experiences related to investigational devices
Submitting clinical strategies and status reports on study programs and activities
Developing appropriate partnerships with investigators, study coordinators and hospital site support staff for successful execution of clinical programs
Conducting formal and informal group presentations as it relates to protocols, GCP, device specifications, proper investigational device usage and study strategies
Performing study activities in compliance with GCP and FDA regulations with an understanding of and experience in U.S. clinical trial processes
Serving as a clinical resource across internal study teams
Interacting with Philips cross functional employees to include R&D, Regulatory, Safety, Quality, Marketing and other business functions to support product enhancements, protocol and new product development
Interpreting and presenting clinical data
Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, independent, self-motivated, self-starter
Strategic thinking, problem solving, planning and time-management

Our solutions combine navigational tools such as catheters, balloons and guide wires with advanced software to help confirm the optimal treatment at the point of care: measurement technology, procedure-specific application support and on-board imaging and monitoring with improved anatomical and functional information to optimize therapy delivery. The IGT Devices organization consists of three segments: Coronary, Peripheral Vascular and Electrophysiology.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
BS or MS degree in Health Sciences, Engineering or related degree program
3+ years Healthcare experience (e.g. RN or Cath Lab/technician)
1-2 years Medical Device clinical trial or pharmaceutical experience (preferred)
Must be able to periodically work weekends, evenings and nights
Must be able to travel 60-80%
