We Are Seeking
Water Treatment Plant Mechanics will be tasked with the maintenance and repair of water treatment plant related electric motors, pumps, valves, chemical feed systems, chemical mixers and other related equipment. This requires working closely with other mechanics, instrumentation technicians, plant operators and other personnel, as well as working independently, ensuring the operating continuity of the Town's water treatment plants. This position reports directly to the Water Plant Maintenance Supervisor.
Ideal candidates will be experienced with water treatment plant mechanical maintenance and repair. Also important are attention to detail, strong "repair or replace" decision making skills, and a creative approach to problem solving. Desirable personal characteristics include the ability to work well independently and within a team environment.

You actively participate as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals and produce quality outcomes. You are committed to our safety philosophy, and you take great pride in proactively managing time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently while accomplishing objectives and achieving goals beyond what is required.

High School Diploma or GED
1 year or more of technical training beyond high school in water treatment.
3 years of experience in water treatment and mechanical maintenance.
1 year in fabricating and industrial plumbing.
ADEQ Grade I Water Treatment Certification and a ADEQ Grade I Water Distribution Certification.
Valid Arizona driver license.
