Description:

This executive leadership position reporting to the CEO and responsible for the strategic planning, development and achievement of sales for ambulatory EHR and Practice Management software. Responsible for the growth of market share in new and existing markets and the development of a sales organization to support targeted growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with the Vice President of Marketing to identify and recommend strategic marketing events to create lead generation for sales. Support those events by personal attendance, providing staffing resources, and oversight at the events such as tradeshows and client education events
  • Development of vendor relations to support the growth of this market including the identification of key vendors and cultivation of relationships that facilitate mutually beneficial business agreements
  • Identification and cultivation of key opinion leaders who will endorse our products and provide expertise in product development
  • Recruitment, selection, training and management of sales team to support markets. On-going coaching and training to ensure that sales representatives are efficiently and effectively progressing leads which result in business closure.
  • Ensure the documentation of all sales activities and the appropriateness of all internal and external sales communications
  • Review performance data related to these markets and identify opportunities for improvement which are supported by the development and implementation of resolutions
  • Work collaboratively with other personnel to facilitate the highest possible efficiency and positive culture attainable

Required Skills

  • High comfort level in talking with and influencing physicians, and administrative and technical staff
  • History of forecasting commitments and revenue with a high degree of accuracy
  • Comfort forging and developing business in new territories, new markets and new strategies
  • Ability to assess assigned market and identify opportunities for business development.
  • Leadership skills which motivate and create loyalty among sales team in alignment with corporate goals and objectives
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Motivational skills that are transferred to others through positive interactions
  • Ability to close sales and negotiate closure while complying with corporate guidelines and policies

Qualifications:

* 7+ years’ experience meeting or exceeding quota for healthcare technology sales

  • 4 years national sales experience in fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment
  • Minimum of 4 years sales management experience with entrepreneurial spirit
  • Bachelor Degree – MBA preferred
