The Utah Poison Control Center in joint effort with the Utah Department of Health is operating the Coronavirus Information Line. This Info Line has multiple, paid, remote work positions. This position involves answering calls from patients, assessing for COVID-19 signs and symptoms, triaging, and educating about COVID-19. Staff are supported by medical guidelines and medical director. After in person training sessions, these shifts can be worked remotely provided the person has access to a computer and sufficient Internet speed located in a confidential workspace.

- Assessing patients for signs & symptoms of COVID-19 and triaging them to appropriate care
- Providing risk assessments for asymptomatic individuals exposed COVID-19
- Educating callers on COVID-19 (symptoms, prevention, incubation period, disinfecting, controversial therapies, interactions with disease states/medications)
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah or equivalency required. *If licensed in a compact state a Utah State license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card or must obtain one within one month of hire required.
Strong organizational and leadership skills as well as demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills are also required.
Some positions may require additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within one year of hire.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
