The IT Desktop Asset Manager will lead and govern the business practices of software and end-user compute related hardware within the organization. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. The individual will also manage procurement to optimize spend. The applicant will oversee quality control and propose process improvements to support the end user computer landscape.


Manage policies and procedures for asset life cycle management and end user compute
Manage vendor delivered support team focused on software provisioning and security
Track and maintain an accurate inventory of all assets throughout their life cycle (Hardware, software entitlements, warranties, maintenance records, and costs associated with asset maintenance and support)
Audit software entitlements against installed asset base
Administer and maintain the asset database
Act as a liaison with other departments as necessary to forecast future technology needs
Work with Finance on the asset management process including budget allocation
Works within IT on policy compliance and asset maintenance
Identify opportunities to optimize efficiency and ROI from company assets
Work closely with IT partners to support audit processes
Assist in defining metrics, gathers data, and reports effectiveness of IT asset management processes
Identify and act on cost reduction opportunities
Define and maintain an end user compute Asset Disposal Program
Monitor and measure IT Asset Management and IT Vendor Management activities in attainment of established Service Level Agreements
Produce IT asset and vendor metrics and identify trends; taking proactive steps to correct as needed
Manage external vendor relations within end user compute staff. Act as a liaison amongst vendors and stakeholders. Coordinate all vendor management tasks in the end user compute and support space.
In addition the applicant will work with the technology team on Technical Projects as needed


Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or related field
5+ years of IT experience
Experience managing end user software usage and licensing
Proven ability to lead groups, manage project deliverables, and maintain relationships
Ability to work in complex technical environment
Ability to manage multiple, changing priorities while working effectively in a team environment
Ability to handle several projects simultaneously
Excellent team player with ability to coordinate and cooperate with others
Excellent problem solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to effectively interact at an executive level
Technical knowledge in IT Security, PCI Compliance, Networking and Telecommunications, web development and main IT components such as: Operating systems, Network infrastructure, and Security monitoring tools and analytics
10% travel within US required; may also require international travel


MCSA: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate
MCSA: 0365
MOS: Microsoft Office Specialist
MCP: Microsoft Certified Professional (focus on licensing)
Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC)
Apple Certified System Administrator (ACSA)
Previous experience with Symantec endpoint protection
