Gateway Hospice, an established hospice agency is looking to hire an experienced, compassionate RN to join our growing team! This position does involve daily travel, as you would be providing care to hospice patients in their homes or in facilities in the areas surrounding Pittsburgh after regular business hours. This position includes 3 shifts per week, a combination of overnight and day shifts.
Job Summary:
Responsible to the Clinical Care Coordinator to provide after hours nursing care to hospice patients and their families. Implements nursing interventions and coordinates appropriate follow up and communications. The RN adheres to regulatory processes required by the State Board of Nursing and Federal Conditions of Participation and the Policies and Procedures of Gateway Hospice.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience required. Must have current RN license in the state of practice.
- Must have ability to manage patient care with specific knowledge and experience in bedside nursing, symptom management, crisis intervention, and family intervention.
- Must have ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service and communication.
- Must be willing to drive in all types of weather, have a dependable vehicle, and hold a valid driver's license with clean driving record (no points or suspensions within the past 2 years)
