National Instruments is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to join their organization The Business Analyst’s primary role is to serve as a liaison between a business area and the information technology team. The successful analyst works as a business expert for the respective functional area and is able to analyze current and future business processes, make suggestions for continuous improvement, articulate requirements to meet business objectives, and design solutions that meet the requirements. These solutions may consist of new or changed processes, people, or technologies. Working with both the business areas and the development teams, the BA will work on the full development life cycle from project initiation through implementation and post-release support. The BA candidate will have strong competencies in communication, project management, adaptability, drive for results, analysis & solution design.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop effective Problem Statements
  • Assist in cost/benefit analysis and process modeling
  • Perform as-is and to-be analysis
  • Provide recommendations for process and system improvements
  • Negotiate Project Scope, Schedule, and Resource requirements
  • Implement projects using PMLC and SDLC methodologies and practices
  • Gather and document business, functional, and reporting requirements
  • Compose effective cross-team and inter-departmental communications
  • Prepare test cases and perform functional, acceptance, and regression testing
  • Document and deliver effective end user training
  • Define system supportability and assist in providing long-term production support
  • Build, develop and grow any business relationships
  • Assist with management, prioritization, troubleshooting and escalation of issues
  • Identify and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities
  • Propose innovative operational changes including people, processes, and systems
  • Degree in Computer Science, MIS or Business with a concentration in Information Technology preferred.

  • 3+ years as a Business Analyst or equivalent
  • Self starter - Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Project management experience
  • Solution-driven - Ability to identify/analyze problems and develop solutions
  • Experience with Oracle eBusiness applications preferred
