Director of Procurement
The VP/Managing Director of Procurement at OneMain is a senior executive role responsible for overseeing the entire Procurement function across the organization. This includes developing and executing Procurement strategies that align with the company's business objectives, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance. The VP/Managing Dire of Procurement will lead a diverse team, including the Category Management and Tactical Buying, to optimize sourcing, supplier management, and Procurement processes. This role also involves cultivating and managing relationships with key suppliers to ensure the company receives optimal value and innovation.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Procurement leadership, exceptional strategic thinking, and the ability to influence at the highest levels of the organization.
In the Role:

Develop and implement a Procurement strategy that aligns with company goals and drives cost savings, quality improvements, and innovation.

Lead and mentor a team of senior Procurement leaders, including the Heads of Category Management and Tactical Buying, ensuring alignment and collaboration across all Procurement activities.

Oversee the end-to-end Procurement process, from supplier selection and contract negotiation to performance management and risk mitigation.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring that procurement activities deliver optimal value to the company.

Ensure compliance with all Procurement policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements, promoting a culture of integrity and transparency.

Collaborate with executive leadership and cross functional teams to identify business needs and integrate them into the procurement strategy.

Report to senior management on Procurement performance and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field; a master's degree is strongly preferred

12+ years of experience in Procurement, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven track record or developing and executing success procurement strategies in a large, complex organization.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading and developing high performing teams.

Strong negotiation skills with extensive experience in managing large scale contracts and supplier relationships.

Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to align Procurement activities with broader business objectives.

Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

Ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Procurement software and tools; experience with platforms like Coupa is preferred.

High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical procurement practices.
