This is a full-time, hourly position. Hours needed are 8:30-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
Position Summary/ Key Responsibilities
- Thrift Store Staff work in coordination with the Lead(s) and Thrift Store Director to ensure daily operations of the UGM Thrift Store. Expedited, personal, and compassionate customer service is expected for all guests, staff, community agencies and partners, and community members - whether they are a paying customer or here for free assistance.
- Required attendance: all staff meeting, thrift store team meeting

- Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. Interacts with guests, staff, visitors, etc., under a variety of conditions/circumstances. May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset guests or visitors, etc. under a variety of conditions/circumstances.
Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements
- Education: high school diploma or equivalent
- Certifications: CPR, 1st Aid, NARCAN, Trauma Informed Care, and de-escalation/ self defense
- Experience: no experience is necessary, but a willingness to learn is a must
Essential Skills and Abilities
- Organizational skills

- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems and office equipment

- Hang items brought up from the basement

- Complete volunteer activities if no volunteers are scheduled and time allows

- This position is eligible for 90 day and annual reviews by the Thrift Store Director
