The Amazon Home Marketing Team is seeking a highly creative and entrepreneurial individual to join our unique and dynamic team. As the CD for home categories (Furniture, Home Décor, Kitchen, Home Improvement, Lawn & Garden), you will lead in-house creative development of branded-content experiences that drive engagement and inspire customers across Amazon-owned channels and marketing programs while influencing creative developed by internal and external partner teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create concepts and art direction for all Home marketing programs and touchpoints including, onsite merchandising, social media, and digital advertising
  • Art direct in-studio and on-location photoshoots for home furnishings, food, and related lifestyle merchandising categories
  • Provide visual design direction and oversee the production of graphics for onsite merchandising, traffic drivers, social advertising, and all other marketing needs
  • Collaborate with content owners to plan and execute engaging seasonal editorial campaigns
  • Work with internal and external creative teams to review concepts and provide feedback as a stakeholder or approver
  • Partner with UX designers to create visual identities that elevate product and browse CX
  • Develop and refine design guidelines and style guides for Home content and marketing programs
  • Forecast resourcing needs and build schedules for creative development and production projects
  • Build and grow and a roster of top freelance art direction, visual design, copywriting, photography, and styling talent
  • Mentor and develop on-staff creative and content talent

They have successfully demonstrated the ability to translate business goals into inspiring designs and a track record of earning trust by influencing creatives across different teams and disciplines. Not only does this candidate have exceptional creative skills, they can provide effective direction and feedback to a wide array of internal and external creatives–from designers and art directors to stylists and producers–while looking for opportunities to optimize processes and improve delivery timelines.

  • Photo art direction and brand design experience for e-commerce or omnichannel retailer, consumer brand, digital agency, or lifestyle publication
  • Advanced photo retouching skills
  • Basic illustration and motion graphics experience
  • Experience with interiors photography (both in-studio and on-location) and styling
  • Working knowledge of UX principles with experience designing for e-commerce
  • Expertise in print layout and production and/or environmental design
  • Detailed knowledge of social media landscape and best practices
  • Passion for home furnishings and interior design
