Job Summary

The worldwide leader in essential oils is looking for a talented and enthusiastic IT Project Manager to lead business critical IT development projects. The IT Project Manager is responsible to lead IT development teams and interface with business and end users in the development of software and other IT solutions. The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing the execution of projects from planning through delivery, including project team management, resource management, budget planning and tracking, scheduling, project performance and overall delivery quality. Effective management of project constraints which include, but are not limited to, time, cost, profile, quality, risk and customer satisfaction are required. The Project Manager manages all communication related to a project both within the project team as well as with the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Project Management:
Creates and executes full scale project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
Identifies resources needed, assigns, and tracks individual tasks and responsibilities
Plan and schedule project timelines
Responsible for internal resource management
Constantly monitor and effectively communicate progress of the project to all project staff and stakeholders
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects and their scopes
Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
Minimizes exposure and risk of projects
Ensures project documents are complete, current, organized, and stored appropriately
Ensures assigned projects are on-profile, on-time and on-cost and communicates any deviations to the customer(s)/stake-holder(s)
Manage project financial lifecycle, including estimates, status reporting, revenue forecasts, invoicing, etc. - lead the planning and implementation of project
Coordinate project tasks with quality assurance
Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
Project evaluations and assessment of results
Creating, coordinating, and managing advanced level projects involving organization-wide systems
Using project management methodology, tools, and practices with exceptional skill and expertise
Using effective consensus-building skills to foster productive working relationships with team members, other departments, and external clients
Managing 8 to 15 project staff members

Communication & Collaboration:
Facilitates meetings effectively
Holds status meetings with project teams as needed to complete projects
Keeps project team well informed of changes within the business and organization
Effectively communicates project changes, updates or other details to executive management
Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
Resolves and/or escalates issues in a professional and timely manner
Inspires coworkers to attain goals and pursue excellence
Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change

Resource Management:
Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions
Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential
Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner
Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members
Mitigates team conflict and communication problems

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job will not have direct supervisory responsibilities; however, the IT Project Manager will indirectly manage and lead cross-functional team members through to project completion.

Bachelors Degree in business or other related field
Qualification in project management or equivalent
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
3-5 years of IT Project Management experience or similar technical development
Proven experience in risk management
Impeccable organizational skills, strong attention to detail and follow through
Experience managing multiple projects against rigid schedules
Diplomacy, creative problem solving, ability to manage customer expectations
Experience coordinating and facilitating meetings
Ability to work across teams, groups and functions and to build strong relationships
Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
Positive, enthusiastic attitude
Experience with AtTask PPM software is a plus
Advanced knowledge of MS Office and related applications such as MS Project, Visio
