The VP, Marketing - Old Navy will lead the credit marketing efforts for the Old Navy brand within the Gap, Inc. portfolio. This individual will work collaboratively within Synchrony Financial and the client organization to develop and implement marketing strategies and tactics to achieve Synchrony Financial and client growth metrics inclusive of Acquisition and Purchase Volume.
Serve as the key relationship owner for the Old Navy Credit Card while partnering with broader Synchrony Financial business and Old Navy Global Consumer Payments team to lead, develop, implement, and monitor the dynamic annual marketing strategy.
Understand and incorporate the client's key business objectives and strategic vision into the planning process to achieve set objectives.
Strongly influence the commercial calendar and marketing offers in order to optimize the type and frequency of campaigns while delivering on new accounts and purchase volume commitments
Optimize client marketing contribution, contractual marketing spend and pursue additional funds to meet growth goals. Integrate client, credit, and product offerings at targeted key customer touch points; develop & manage the acquisition and lifecycle marketing strategies and execute seamlessly.
Serve as campaign owner for marketing campaigns and work with COEs to ensure flawless execution
Identify portfolio segments to target for Old Navy card business gain; test and implement programs to grow these segments.
Manage all aspects of the Old Navy card value proposition and work collaboratively with the client to identify and track industry trends, competitor's and customer experience metrics. Ensure program profitability and penetration through continued enhancements.
Drive program to effectively work in an Omni-channel environment. Work collaboratively with the Digital Manager, ensure digital assets are in place and optimized. Push for cutting edge thinking and agenda.
Monitor & manage performance of all key credit and marketing metrics vs. plan. Assist in the development of marketing growth strategy, Op Plan process and ongoing portfolio diagnostic process.

Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field OR in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 10 years of marketing experience
7 + years of marketing experience in credit card, co-brand credit card or financial services industries with significant exposure to the retail industry
3 + years demonstrated growth marketing leadership skills (analytic and creative) with significant exposure to consumer facing programs/products.
Ability to travel as needed (~30%)
Marketing experience preferably in retail, direct marketing, credit card or financial services.
Experience influencing organizations and other professionals with a minimum of 2 years of managerial responsibility.
Strong PC proficiency (MS Office Suite) or comparable software applications.
Advanced degree (MS, MBA).
Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.
Collaborative style and approach with comfort working in a matrixed, decentralized structure.
Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results.
Consumer finance experience and related industry experience. Familiarity with value proposition and/or new product development processes, from concept innovation through go-to-market execution.
Direct marketing experience with both acquisition and loyalty/lifecycle channels.
Proven ability to partner and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Strong problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to evaluate situations using multiple sources of information.

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
Effective 1-1-18, new hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. The salary range for this position is 100,000.00 - 200,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
