Position Summary:
Assist customers in the implementation of moderately complex, health system wide technical systems, software, hardware or business solutions. Evaluates client needs and develops alternatives that support business processes. Defines and executes on delivery and implementation plans. Defines and executes system deployment plans. Tests and troubleshoots final system deployments. Prepares training materials and assists with providing training during and after the implementation process. Provides end-user support after the implementation process. Is able to scope projects and develop proposals for moderately complex projects.

Job Scope/Complexity:
With limited supervision, works on projects and matters of moderate complexity. Participate in overall strategy, design and architecture for solutions. Is able to reengineer processes and offer solutions the clients have not thought of. Stays abreast of industry trends.

Under limited supervision, defines business/clinical/education problems by meeting with clients to observe and understand current processes and the issues related to those processes. Provides written documentation of findings to share with the client and other IT colleagues.
Offers solution alternatives for moderately complex business problems.
Gathers system requirements on moderately complex projects. Documents requirements according to departmental guidelines.
Prepares project plans for departmental or Health System projects.
Prepares and executes system tests.
Assists with the execution of user acceptance tests.
Implements changes by adhering to the change management policies and procedures for any given project to communicate to all parties the nature, significance, and risk factors of the solution.
Monitors changes and resolves problems by responding as they occur, by reviewing all processing and output of the newly implemented solution, and by proactively ensuring the solution works successfully in order to satisfy the customer requirements.

Competencies:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required. Additional experience may be substituted for education.

Equivalency Formula:
JHH: Related experience beyond minimum training experience qualifications may substitute for formal education requirement on a two years’ experience-for-

one year education basis.

Knowledge:
Health System operations and/or Health Care clinical knowledge
Project implementation skills, including a phased-implementation approach
Project management skills, including project forecasting, requirements elicitation, solution development, and documentation and facilitation skills

Skills:
Must demonstrate critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills
Ability to gather moderately complex requirements and offer solution alternatives
Understanding of project management principles, and the ability to identify the appropriate techniques for each project
Ability to work on moderately complex projects with limited supervision
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to maintain customer confidentiality
Ability to communicate with multiple levels of organizational employees
Experience with business intelligence tools, such as Tableau, SAP’s Business Objects, or other comparable tools is preferred
Required Licensure Certification, etc.

PMI certification is preferred but not required (either a project manager or business analyst certification)

Two years + experience in a similar role

Experience working in health care and on IT projects

Process reengineering experience is a plus
