OVERALL SUMMARY:
The Associate Area Manager is accountable for successful execution of all programs in a designated area to ensure quality, integrity and cost efficiency of every News America Marketing In-Store initiative. The Associate Area Manager will oversee 8-9 direct reports and be assigned a small territory to service, as well. The Associate Area Manager will spend 80% of their time working in field and 20% working in a supervisory role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Program Management:
 Deploy work effectively and ensures quality and compliance for all programs

 Ensure effective communication with In-Store Reps (ISRs), management and peers

 Ensure data & reporting integrity

 Complete all assigned territory installation/dis-installations in accordance with NAM/Client expectations

 People Management and Development:
 Ensure area is fully staffed and operational. Includes:
RecruitingTraining Development Separation

Performance management of direct reports

 Client Management:
 Develop and maintain front line relationships with store personnel

 Liaison with manufacturing clients in store

 Financial Management:
 Provide budget projections and follows up on budget variances

 Approval of weekly ISR payroll

 Ensure store counts are accurate and training time/cart install time is requested as needed

 Monitor area expenses carefully ensuring integrity of financial processes and controls

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Needed:
 2-4 years relevant experience with at least one year of supervisory experience

 Recruiting at part-time level

 Training experience

 Skill requirements

 Attention to detail and quality of work (imperative)

 Good working knowledge of Google system & Internet Explorer

 Initiative to identify and solve problems

 Ability to finish projects accurately, completely and on time

 Work well independently & as part of a team

 Physical Requirements

 Ability to lift up to 25 pounds & stand on feet for extended periods

 Certain projects may require repetitive bending, lifting and stretching

 Ability to install all SmartSource products including: carts, shelf, freezer and Floortalk*

Non - Skill requirements
 Must have a valid driver's license (for at least 2 years) and a reliable, insured and registered personal vehicle
Ability to drive during the day and night is required
