We are looking for a Audio/Video Install Technician!
Provides technical leadership and acts as a subject matter expert being responsible for providing on-site client services for the AV and Conferencing technologies throughout all assigned facilities. Troubleshoot Audio/Visual Room systems providing Tiers I and II support. Ensures prompt response to all customer and company-initiated service and support issues. Communicates effectively with the Director of Managed Services, Service Manager, technical staff, external and internal customers. Responsible to ensure Help calls are seen through and monitored to completion within the required timeframe. ·
- Provide client orientation and training for end user groups as needed to understand and operate AV, conferencing systems for day-to-day use. Determines impact of alternative solutions and encourages innovative, cost effective solutions.
- Serves as an expert resource to others, and leads discussions on meeting customer needs based upon past experiences and successes.
- Provide meeting and conference support for end users as required.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and inspections of all contracted areas and systems.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing Audio/Visual and AV Control equipment
- Support all servicing needs and help requests for all systems within the assigned buildings. This includes on site repairs and coordination of Vistacom Support staff when required.
- Assist Vistacom ‘s Support Desk with remote troubleshooting and techniques.
- Thoroughly document all Help Desk Support calls and On-site Service Repairs electronically using the standard Vistacom software packages.
- Interface with the Vistacom Service Team and client representative to manage and review Support history.
- Perform as a client liaison for project status and ongoing support requests providing status reports as required.
- Interface with client facilities team to coordinate and plan AV needs in conjunction with Vistacom Engineers and Project Managers.
- Facilitate shipment of failed equipment to manufacturer repair facilities.
- Receive repaired equipment and complete all required documentation.
- Provide accurate, detailed, and timely paperwork to the Service Manager
- Provide quality service, installation, and repair work performed at customer site or sites.
- Ensure and follow the highest quality and safety standards.
- Update and document all change to client information IE: IP sheets, system drawings, equipment software, job folders and documentation.
- Ensure the working condition and ongoing maintenance of all test equipment, tools and company provided items.
- Review for accuracy and submit personal time sheet on a weekly basis
- Provide installation services when scheduled to assist the Installation Group
- Overtime and out of town travel may be required.
Experience - Required . · Minimum of 4 years working experience in the Audio/Video field is required. · Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with other people. · CTS Certification a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized. · Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers. · Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. · Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work with diverse groups. Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook, and other proprietary AV management software. · Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date. · Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations. · Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation. · Encourages and fosters working team environment · Training and development: · Studies literature and attends seminars to stay current with regards to products, processes and materials, and management strategies. · Leads by example · Valid and current driver’s license.
