Senior Associate - Institutional Client Service & Marketing

Position Overview:

The Senior Client Service & Marketing Associate is a fast-paced role supporting ICM’s institutional client service and business development efforts. The position is responsible for a broad range of responsibilities including working collaboratively with senior members of the Firm to support & enhance our institutional client experience. The Senior Client Service & Marketing Associate is responsible for a broad range of responsibilities including client reporting & analytics, managing our CRM system, and responding to inquiries from clients, prospects and consultants. This position is ideal for an energetic and motivated individual who is passionate about the financial services industry. The role overtime will take on increasingly more client facing interaction as the candidate becomes proficient with the Firm’s investment philosophy, process and approach. The role will also be charged with providing analytical support and interpretation of investment results to be utilized by the Client Service team and Portfolio

Manager. A solid understanding of the asset management business, the ability to work and thrive in a sophisticated small team environment, and the capability to interact with a variety of teams and business partners across the Firm is essential.


  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of client reporting & investment strategy materials and collateral
  • Facilitate and prepare materials for prospect and client meetings
  • Track prospect, client and consultant information and ensure effective & proactive servicing
  • Maintain contacts, opportunities and activities in CRM system
  • Led the Firm’s RFP process by working closely with internal groups (Ops, Technology,

Compliance, Trading, Investment team)

  • Analyze and interpret investment performance data to support Firm’s client service & business development initiatives
  • Conduct specific ad hoc project-oriented duties to support the Firm’s business development campaign
  • Overtime develop and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of ICM’s investment philosophy, process, and approach to assist in positioning the Firm’s product offerings with institutional investors & consultants
  • Serve as an important resource for the Firm to assist in broadening its distribution capabilities by positioning of ICM’s products in the marketplace

Over time the individual will grow responsibilities to be a trusted, approachable and reliable contact for prospects and clients.


  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years of experience within the financial services industry, advanced degree or desire to continue education preferred
  • Series 6 or 7 preferred
  • Experience in institutional sales, client service, consultant relations preferred
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proficiency with investment systems (Bloomberg, Factset, Risk analysis) a plus
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, take ownership of deliverables, meet firm deadlines for both short- and long-term projects, and demonstrate follow-through
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Creative and analytical minded
  • Proactive, self-starter with positive attitude eager to contribute
