The AmazonFresh / Prime Now / Restaurants Customer Insights & Analytics team is looking for a passionate and solution-oriented Business Analyst to build analytical solutions that deepen our collective understanding of customers, influence innovation, and deliver actionable insights. The ideal candidate has outstanding business acumen, a restlessness to answer “why?” questions, excellent analytical abilities, strong technical skills, superior written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams. They will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. They will work closely with Product, Business, and Software Development Teams.
The ideal candidate will:
Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that will help shape the device customer engagement, sales and marketing roadmap
Develop a thorough understanding of customer behavior, competitive product trends, and business drivers to inform decision making
Analyze key insight trends and build models that predict customer behavior, using statistical rigor to simplify and provide thought leadership to global product and software groups.
Collaborate with Software, Business, and Product Management as a leader of ongoing analytical support
MS in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or related field.
5+ years of professional experience in CRM, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, business analysis or comparable consumer analytics position
Top notch written and verbal communication skills to convey key insights from complex analysis in summarized business terms
Experience in designing and implementing custom targeting optimization systems and working with technical teams
Experience in deploying machine learning, statistics and/or econometrics in a production setting
Expertise with MS Excel, SQL, SAS or R
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across various internal organizations
Supply Chain and Procurement experience a plus
Demonstrated experience delivering actionable insight for a consumer business
Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
Understanding of advanced Data Warehousing concepts and track record of applying these concepts on the job.
