Homeland Security Solutions Inc. (HSSI), a leading provider of services and training to Government and commercial customers worldwide, is seeking an exceptionally qualified person to fill the Data Entry Clerk position. This position will support the DHS Customs and Border Protection. The Data Entry Clerk reports directly to the Homeland Security Solutions, Inc. (HSSI) Site Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Enter data into various database as determined by CBP
Scan background investigative documents and other case materials into CBP approved systems and/or databases.
Process file requests to retrieve archived records from the National Records Center (NRC) storage facility. Annotate shipment information in appropriate CBP systems/databases.
Maintain log files for accountability of Red book/Blue books for employee integrity and administration records.
Process incoming requests; tracks receipts, files found, files pending, and files delivered to the requestors. Electronic records will be sent to requestors through the CBP approved/provided means.
Records will be scanned into a CBP approved system, currently ISMS, for electronic retrieval.
Prepare and disassemble records for scanning. Reassemble records before boxing for transporting to NRC. Ensure scanned records match the actual file in the folder. Pack and manifest scanned records for archiving and provide initial preparation of boxes per archive procedure.
Manage file room space and store files in boxes inside the file room. Report production: boxes loaded, moved, and files stored on a weekly basis.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
Able to type a minimum of 45 wpm
Knowledge of software applications in a Windows environment

This position requires a high level of trust and confidence and as such the applicant must meet several pre-employment requirements.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must successfully pass initial drug screening and periodic follow-up testing.
Must possess a “secret” security clearance.
Must successfully complete an HSSI background check.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI).
One-year experience/knowledge working in a security/police environment is desired.
Must have 20/20 correctable vision in each eye.
Must successfully pass a psychological evaluation.
