- General Ledger Reconciliation
The Manager, Accounting & Financial Reporting will deliver financial reports in a timely and accurate manner, and will provide insights on results and recommendations to improve Company performance. This role will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger and ensuring compliance with all applicable rules, policies and regulations, as well as ensuring different accounting functions (Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable) are completed timely and accurately. The Manager, Accounting & Financial Reporting will assure appropriate compliance and documentation of accounting controls as dictated by our parent company (Fortune Brands Home & Security (FBHS)), by our external auditor (PWC), and by relevant authorities (e.g., U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, etc.).

Ensure financial reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner to meet the Global Plumbing Group (GPG) and FBHS reporting schedules.
Perform routine accounting functions, including period-end account reconciliations.
Manage the month-end close process to ensure accurate cut-off and reporting.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate accounting in compliance with all policies and regulations.
Oversee the customer credit policy enforcement.
Review monthly results with members of the management team to enhance their understanding of the financial results and drive Operating Income improvement.
Prepare commentary around financial results and identify risks and opportunities.
Ensure that the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) accounting functions are completed timely and accurately.
Implement a web-based spiff management system.
Maintain financial security by completing and documenting internal accounting controls.
Enhance accounting processes and procedures to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
Act as a backup to other members of the Accounting team as required.
Maintain fixed asset records.
Respond to all government, external accounting firm, and internal auditor requests and inquiries
Serve as a resource and subject matter expert to the AP / AR team to ensure appropriate accounting into the general ledger.
Provide accounting assistance and direction to the Operations team members as necessary.
Ensure all tax reporting requirements are met.
Assist the Senior Manager, Finance & IT in the development of forecasts and budgets.
Lead and participate in projects and strategic initiatives in the department as needed to drive compliance, efficiency and synergy with GPG.
Bachelor’s degree in an Accounting or a Finance related discipline is required.
Minimum of 5 years of related experience is required.
Public Accounting experience is preferred. SAP experience a plus.
Professional Finance or Accounting certification is preferred (e.g., CPA, CFA, etc.).
Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
Strong Microsoft application skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to provide direction and leadership to other team members.
