ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Rotates, stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
- Correctly prices all merchandise according to departmental guidelines
- Follows proper wrapping and packaging procedure; including the use of the correct size tray and plastic wrap &/or container
- Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment, (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.).
- Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age; follows all safety policies and procedures
- Cleans all required deli-bakery department tools and equipment
- Follows proper procedure for producing all bakery/deli products
- Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains a neat and clean work area.
- Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy
- Perform all job functions with limited supervision
- May be required to decorate cakes
- Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds
- Ability to work in temperature extremes, (frozen foods & storage cooler maximum low temperature, -10 degrees).
- Orders product according to established guidelines in the absence of deli manager
- Other duties as assigned
