Essential Functions of Job:

  • Supervising staff
  • Achieve defined productivity, timeliness, and quality standards
  • Motivate, develop and retain a competent staff
  • Provide technical assistance on problem research & resolution
  • Interface with customers (both internal and/or external) to resolve problems
  • Proactively work with customers (both internal and/or external) to provide unsurpassed customer service and seamless benefits administration
  • Monitor reports on production and quality of staff
  • Identify and assist in the recognition, analysis and resolution of organizational and procedural problems
  • Maintain active command of staffs job related skills
  • Some travel may be required
  • Maintain thorough understanding of client specific and industry standards
  • Maintain assigned client documentation
  • Ability to report to the office

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred, experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Effective organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced multi-tasking environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team and develop individuals
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of employee benefits and benefit interpretation
  • 5 or more years of medical/dental claims administration experience preferred
  • 5 or more years of supervisory experience preferred
