Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone that is committed to providing superior member service while adhering to United Heritage's Core Values and quality service standards, policies, and procedures. Under the direction of our branch management staff the Teller Service Specialist will perform financial transactions for members accurately, efficiently, and in a professional manner. In addition, you will respond to inquiries pertaining to the Credit Union's products and services, account review and transaction history review requests. Promote products and services that the Credit Union provides to members.
How You'll Contribute:
Promote and maintain positive relationships with all internal departments or contacts, members, potential members, and guest members.
Accept and dispense cash accurately using a teller drawer and/or CDM (Cash Dispense Machine or Cash Recycler.
Accept and process checks accurately, provide account and credit union information to members.
Responsible for competent processing of financial transactions, verifying accuracy, balancing daily and meeting security guidelines.
Ensuring compliance with United Heritage policy and procedures, applicable statues and federal regulations.
Actively participated in cross-selling and referring beneficial products and services.
Understand measurable and tracked sales efforts and consistently achieve goals.
What you will need to succeed:
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
Minimum of 6 months related experience in financial industry, or similar field with cash handling experience preferably in the last 12 months.
Previous experience cross-selling products and/or services.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous experience in a service oriented position where the primary focus was external customer service.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule as hours/schedule are subject to change based on the needs of the business.
