Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat Associates, PA (CEENTA), the region’s premier eye, ear, nose and throat care provider for adults and pediatric patients for more than 90 years is looking to add to their Human Resource team. We are currently looking for a Human Resource Generalist with experience with Payroll and Benefits. The position is full-time located in our main location in the South Park area of Charlotte, NC

Summary of the position:
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, responsible for working with the outsourced payroll administrator, benefit vendors, payroll and HR staff to ensure all activities for processing full cycle payroll are completed timely and accurately.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with the outsourced administrator, benefit vendors, payroll and HR staff to provide timely and accurate responses to escalated payroll inquiries.
Work with the outsourced administrator to prepare and process bi-monthly payroll for multiple states; resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities; reconcile payroll to general ledger; prepare payroll journal entries.
Responsible for payroll systems maintenance, maintaining employee leave balances, benefit payroll deductions, and garnishments.
Review quarterly payroll tax reports for federal and multiple states; comply with local, state and federal payroll regulations and respond to questions and special requests from regulatory agencies; research laws and regulations regarding taxes and payroll withholding procedures.
Maintain and administer 401k plan to include contributions and disbursements.
Assist in preparation of documents for the 401K audit
Prepare and oversee the preparation of documents of payroll activities and issues; meeting compliance requirements, and providing audit references.
Reconcile account balances to maintain accurate account balances and complying with related policies, practices and/or regulations.
Research discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation (e.g. time sheets, leave time, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing.
Communicate with a variety of internal and external parties (city/state/federal agencies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accurate processing of payroll deductions/garnishments.
Support benefits programs, including updating online enrollment site with employee elections. Process updates as needed.
Handle policies and procedures surrounding Leave and FMLA; provide support and guidance on absence management (FMLA/STD/LOA) regulations to meet legal and company guideline; assist with the management of benefits and claims as they relate to STD, FMLA, etc.
Maintain and update personnel files for each employee in an organized, confidential manner, and input appropriate information into systems to maintain employee database
Respond to employee questions promptly regarding company benefits programs
Remain familiar with federal, state and local statutes involving employee benefits
Maintain the HRIS database; input new personnel demographics or edit currents staff information, including changes in position, status, pay rate or location and performance or talent information, prepare periodic reports for management and analyze reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and periodically audit the database to ensure accuracy.
Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Education and/ or Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Minimum four years of payroll and benefits experience. Advanced degree in human resources, business administration or related field may substitute for equivalent experience. Experience working with ADP a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficient with various personal computer software applications including a word processing, database management, and/or spreadsheet packages.
Maintain proficiency in systems and applications utilized to perform duties.
