Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for and Admissions/Records Assistant 3 for the Graduate School. The position will process admissions, verify credential evaluations, verify graduation eligibility, and manage on-boarding for the Pearson online program. Other duties include, but are not limited to: formatting and assembling admissions packets; coordinating degree completion procedure; verifying the graduation list; entering new students and updates into the Student Information System; being a liaison with graduate departments and program; explaining admissions requirements and policies; and other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of clerical experience, two years of which was in a college admissions and/or records office or relevant student services area which included records maintenance, public/customer relations, evaluation of detailed information and documents, and the explanation of complex policies and procedures; OR one year of experience as an Admissions & Records Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience in PeopleSoft, On-Base document imaging, Target X software, and other Student Information systems are encouraged to apply.

Candidates with experience in higher education admissions, progression to degree completion, transcripts, and calculating GPA's are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
