This position takes care of day-to-day marketing tasks such as writing, editing and posting web articles and case studies. This person will handle regular social media content creation, distribution and audience development. The position also maintains the company website – keeping its content up to date – and publishes the company email newsletter, gathers and reports digital analytics on a monthly basis. This position provides the opportunity to work with various aspects of digital content marketing and helps successfully carry out business strategies and initiatives.
There is also room to grow, with potential for full-time employment. Creative persons with strong writing and editing skills, and an eye for design are highly encouraged to apply. Job Duties Compelling Copywriting and Editing Includes blogs, white papers, case studies, press releases, etc. Also includes short-form writing for headlines, social media posts, and some digital advertisements Search Engine Optimization (SEO) of webpages and blog posts Posting/uploading blogs and other multimedia content Publishing e-newsletters and subscriber list management Daily, timely social media coordination Post creation Fostering engagement Audience development Relevant content curation Brand monitoring and online reputation management Social media advertising, campaigning Basic digital media production Image editing Layout design Web-writing Digital analytics data gathering and reporting Work together with Marketing Director and survey researchers as a small but effective team! Assist with other duties as assigned Qualifications Trade School Program, Associates or Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, digital communications or other relevant field Minimum 2 years related work experience Strong writing skills Create click-worthy headlines Ability to edit and receive edits constructively Understand and execute Business or Journalistic style of writing Significantly detail oriented Excellent organizational abilities, including the ability to manage the relationships between multiple ongoing, related strands of work Working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube (for business) Working knowledge of WordPress Basic understanding of SEO Basic understanding of HTML Understanding of digital media software, like Photoshop a plus Experience working with a CRM system a plus Video production abilities a plus Willingness to learn new things Ability to work in a team setting or independently when needed Compensation and Benefits The Content / SEO Marketing Specialist is a part-time position (flexible, up to 25 hours per week) with a small, innovative company. Starting wage is 15-22 dollars hourly, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
