PURPOSE:
The Procurement Analyst will develop, design, and create tools and processes that provide key analytics to drive Procurement strategic initiatives and decisions for up to $3B of inventory. This position is responsible for using multiple systems to create efficiencies within process improvement, forecasting and automation. The Procurement Analyst will partner with cross-functional stakeholders including leadership to identify opportunities and deliver results for internal growth and customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leverages raw system data pulled from multiple sources to perform advanced inbound and outbound analysis, including inventory model, developing forecasting algorithms
- Provides recommendations and solutions for business decisions using live system transactional data and internal DataMart/SQL server, Teradata, Alteryx, Python and Power BI and Tableau.
- Perform advanced trend analysis- incorporate data from different areas and synthesizes. Findings incorporate cross-function impacts, trends, and industry news.
- Create new tools and capabilities to manage inventory and customer fill rate across the UNFI network.
- Responsible for leading, and managing business projects focused on process and system improvements leveraging data analysis, business intelligence, queries, and technology.
- Leverage data insights to create and document process improvement.
- Collaborates with cross-functional departments to assess, develop, and implement change.
- Evaluates and measures department key performance indicators to provide recommendations to UNFI leadership.
- Develops and executes changes including, but not limited to, system integration, reporting capabilities, process and change management.
- Consult with IT to provide Procurement data to ensure system integration and feeds are appropriately communicating.
- Contributes to business efforts around system development needs to execute the strategies around outbound fill rate, inventory impacting working capital and spoilage mitigation.
- Establish systems requirements, definition, testing, training, implementation, and support.
- Identifies customer requirements, develops test schedules, reviews testing plans, and tracks and documents developments/results.
- Ability to work with confidential information including demonstrating discretion on key projects.
- Improves and enhances existing procurement department reporting through data and analysis.
- Provides data insights to drive strategic initiatives within functional areas in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple, diverse projects with inter-relationships across processes. Work requires the direct application of a variety of procedures, policies and/or precedents.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another related field required.
Experience:
- 3+ years previous analyst experience required.
- Supply chain or procurement experience a plus.
- Data collection, building reports and distribution.
Knowledge:
- SQL preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).
- Alteryx or Microsoft Report Builder skills preferred.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:
- Some travel may be required.
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone. and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
- Stooping, bending, twisting. and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
