Nucor Grating is growing and we are seeking to hire a District Sales Manager to join our team in Provo, Utah.

This nature of this role is such that, the residency of the successful candidate is flexible within a four-five state area: CA, OR, NV, UT, AZ.

The main job responsibilities are to assist in Sales functions including, but not limited to, interfacing with customers, converting estimates into printed price summaries, sales proposals and preparing contract documents.

Responsible for selling steel grating products to existing and potential new customers.
Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
Collaborate with Sales Managers and other Sales team members to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
Assist in the preparation of sales bids and project quotations with estimator/sales staff, as well as follow-up on jobs that have been quoted.
Keep Branch Manager advised of market trends, competitive price situations and similar market information.
Attend construction industry related functions in the sales territory so that the Nucor Grating organization has full knowledge of market trends and so that good customer relations are maintained.
Act as a back-up and provide assistance to other members of the sales support team when required.

High school diploma or GED.
5 years of direct work experience in industrial sales, grating preferred.
Experience with steel and steel related products required.

University or college degree preferred.
Solid experience in relationship building, account development, and time management.
Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
Able to read structural drawings.
