Consumer and Investment Management (CIMD)
The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.
Consumer, externally known as Marcus by Goldman Sachs, is comprised of the firm’s digitally-led consumer businesses, which include our deposits and lending businesses, as well as our personal financial management app, Clarity Money. Consumer combines the strength and heritage of a 150-year-old financial institution with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a tech start-up. Through the use of machine learning and intuitive design, we provide customers with powerful tools that are grounded in value, transparency and simplicity to help them make smarter decisions about their money.
Clarity Money, a free personal financial management app, was acquired by Goldman Sachs in 2018. We use AI and machine learning to help consumers make smarter financial decisions and get the most from their money. The app’s revolutionary feature set allows users to create a consolidated view of their financial accounts, analyze their spending habits, cancel unwanted subscriptions, and open a high-yield savings account.
The Growth Associate will play a critical role in scaling our user base by building out additional marketing channels for Clarity Money (e.g., SEM, display). The ideal candidate is a scrappy, customer-focused marketer who is comfortable with data and can use it to prioritize the best opportunities to expand our paid marketing mix. This candidate will work closely with internal and external partners, and should feel comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Identify and onboard channel partners based on business opportunity and brand fit
Test creative, placement, and/or segmentation strategies to scale the user base cost-effectively
Exceed qualified user growth goals within budget
Build and manage relationships with channel partners
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Tech, Design, Analytics, and Data Science teams to identify and address areas for conversion improvement
3-5 years of relevant work experience in a growth marketing or related function
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
Strong knowledge of paid search and/or display marketing and experience managing campaigns end-to-end
Passion for innovation, creative problem solving, and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Experience scaling a premium, consumer-facing business at an efficient cost per acquisition
Demonstrated data-driven decision making to optimize at every step (ad, campaign, channel and overall strategy)
Experience with A/B testing and multi-channel optimization
