Vice President for K-14 Initiatives and Statewide Partnerships

The Vice President for K-14 Initiatives and Statewide Partnerships will proactively develop and lead strategies toward development of valued partnerships between K-12, career centers and the College. Oversees the dual credit program accreditation. Develops a comprehensive communication plan designed for our K-12 partners. Serves as the statewide champion for the implementation of the partnerships and communication plan in support and partnership with chancellors and campus teams.

Major Responsibilities:
Proactively develop and lead strategies toward valued partnerships between K-12, career center and the College resulting in student credential and pathway completions.

Collaborate with Sr. Vice President for Workforce Alignment regarding K-14 pathways.

Collaborate with Sr. Vice President/Provost to ensure academic quality and student success of K-14 initiatives.

Collaborate with Sr. Vice President/Chief Operating Officer regarding campus partnerships.

Provide leadership to Assistant Vice Presidents for K-14 Initiatives in helping high schools and career centers to develop more completion oriented dual credit programming specific to the needs of their students and providing operational support for K14 initiatives inside of the College.

Elevate the benefits of dual enrollment programming including expansion of opportunities for students, Early Colleges and potential cost savings for school districts.

Serve as pathways consultant for DOE and State Board of Education.

Oversee dual credit program accreditation and consideration of alternate accreditation.

Lead Indiana Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (INCEP).

Champion dual credit faculty credentialing requirements and waiver process with Higher Learning Commission and Indiana Commission for Higher Education.

Develop a succinct, focused and continuing communication plan designed specifically for K-12 partners outlining the benefits of the College’s comprehensive programming. Serve as the statewide champion for the implementation of the communication plan in partnership with chancellors and campus teams.

Work with chancellors and campus teams to develop strong relationships and student success strategies with each school district, high school and career center in their service area.

Develop effective direct and continuing communications with high school students and parents (e.g. during college application timeframes and immediately after college acceptance and denial letters are sent) on the benefits of the College’s programming.

Build relationship and shared statewide strategic priorities with state superintendent and senior Indiana Department of Education staff.

Build relationship and trusted partnership with State Board of Education.

Build trusted partnership in matters of K-12 and the College with legislators and Governor’s office in cooperation with the College’s Government Relations.

Build relationship and statewide strategies with:
o Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents (IAPSS)
o Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP).
o Indiana School Boards Association (ISBA).
o Indiana Association of Career and Technical Education Directors (IACTED).
o Indiana Association of Career and Technical Educators (IACTE).
o Indiana School Counselor Association (ISCA) through their annual conference and beyond.
o Indiana State Teachers Association (ISTA)

Minimum Qualifications:
A Master’s degree is required in an education or related field.

Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and record of providing leadership in educational innovation and improvement.

At least ten years of senior-level administrative experience in secondary education is required.

Must be results oriented and possess strong collaboration, written and verbal communication skills.

Must demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.

Preferred Qualifications:
Earned Doctorate in administration or related field.
