We are looking for a Sr Developer Analyst (Platform) for our office in New York, NY. The Senior Platform developer who will be responsible for designing and leading the creation of the unified investment platform. The platform will provide various channels (API, SQL, etc.) of access to data and analytics to its users. The platform will make data access location and schema agnostic.
What are the responsibilities?
Architect end to end solutions for multi-layered applications across a heterogenous technology stack.
Create prototypes and accelerator frameworks to enable rapid development.
Setup and develop cloud services.
Keep up to date with new technologies through independent research to include presenting results to peers.
Builds quality software that conforms to engineering best practices, including writing well-documented, easily readable code.
Writes documentation at a technical level and for business stakeholders.
Help set technical standards and best practices for the platform team.
Collaborate with other team members, partners, and stakeholders to develop technology solutions that are highly available, performant, secure and maintainable.
Accepts and Provides feedback around code construction, process/retrospectives, process between your team and others.
Create and maintain automated tests to ensure quality and save time.
Assist in issue remediation of application errors, availability, and performance.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
BS (or higher) in Computer Science (or related field)
8+ years of hands-on coding experience
Excellent coding skills in Python (C++ is a plus) on Linux
Experience developing containerized applications (Kubernetes, Docker)
In-depth knowledge of Protocol buffers, JSON
Experience with designing and writing stateless microservices.
Experience and familiarity with Public Cloud (e.g.: AWS or Azure)
Preferred: SQL, NodeJS, Kafka
Experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jira)
Financial Services experience is highly desirable.
