This professional will compile, analyze and format data for filing various import and export documentation required by U.S. Customs and Border Protection for our Foreign Trade Sub-zone ("FTZ"). This interesting position will utlize a working knowledge of inventory control systems, warehousing and logistics activities in addition to FTZ knowledge to support the manufacturing of high-quality electrical auto parts for major OEMs around the world. Retrieves and analyzes inventory receipts to accurately prepare and file weekly entry documentation with U.S. Customs for FTZ Subzone.
Uses individual judgment to verify and manage FTZ Inventory classification and identify and capture available duty savings.
Performs periodic FTZ Inventory review and reconciliation, prepares annual permits for FTZ Activity, and submits annual reports on that activity to U.S. Customs and the Foreign Trade Zone Board
Collects and prepares appropriate documentation on duty drawback program as well as other potential cost savings opportunities as directed by senior staff.
Completes special projects. This may include heavy data analysis, independent research and analysis, inter-department collaboration, or working with U.S. Customs and/or outside parties, etc.
Responsible for being the CTPAT on-site administrator.
Assists Logistics Department with the development of Harmonized Tariff Codes (HTC) for our products.
Knowledge of Foreign Trade Zones, specifically subzones
Experience with import and export activities and documentation
Working knowledge of inventory control systems, warehousing, and logistics activies
Undergraduate degree in accounting, business, or related discipline (or equivalent in experience and other education).
Knowledge of Integration Point software a plus but not required.
Strong written, verbal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Must be able to pass a federal background check - Fingerprinting required for this position.
