Job Description

PRCS- Creating Community through People, Parks and Programs

Are you interested in a summer job with flexible hours? Do you enjoy being outdoors in the summer? Do you like the challenges and excitement of an outdoor swimming pool? If so, then become part of the Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services Summer Pool crew!

PRCS is seeking applicants for part-time Summer Pool Assistant Managers. We have positions available beginning in May 2021 and running through September 2021 at the Franklin Park pool in Purcellville and the Lovettsville Community Center pool. As a Summer Pool Assistant Manager your leadership skills will be used to assist with the operations of an outdoor pool and managing pool staff.

This includes:
Enforcing policies and regulations with patrons and staff
Assisting with staff scheduling and reviewing timecards
Attending and leading staff meetings to ensure communication and information sharing and instructing in-service trainings

The work schedule varies and will include morning, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Requirements

Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and at least two years related work experience.

Prior to beginning work, must have:
Loudoun County Pool Operator's License
Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, including First Aid and CPR
Post Conditional Offer Contingencies
Criminal background check required.
