We are looking to fill a Logistics Analyst position in New Century, KS. We are seeking individuals who want to grow with us, as we see the potential to grow this business and to progress in this role.
Under minimal supervision, the Logistics Analyst conducts data analysis to improve our Transportation and Logistics operations, and helps us to increase efficiency and reduce costs. This position collects and analyzes supply chain data, and makes recommendations to improve performance and reduce costs. Additional responsibilities include partnering with team members, leaders and other departments to implement new systems and other changes. The overarching goal is to help our supply chain run as smoothly and profitably as possible. To be successful in this role, analytical skills, business acumen, problem-solving ability and attention to detail are essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:
Prepare statistical data for RFP contract negotiations and participate in negotiations
Generate cost analysis reports, track KPIs and report on Carrier performance
Evaluate existing capabilities (manual processes) and establish new systems and processes for tracking, measuring, reporting and analyzing traffic
Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest process improvements; plan and implement supply chain optimization projects (multi stop runs, route planning, etc.)
Develop scorecard for each carrier and evaluate carrier operations according to quality standards
Build collaborative, trusting relationships with business partners
Partner with IT department to identify and implement effective systems
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Analytics, Operations Management or related field
3+ years’ experience in supply chain analysis, network analysis, logistics coordinating or similar role
Strong MS Office and database skills, such as Transportation Management Systems, ERP Systems, and Warehouse Management Systems
Demonstrated analytical and business acumen
Demonstrated organizational ability and strong attention to detail
Strong problem-solving abilities
Self-starter with ability to handle multiple projecfts and deadlines; proven work ethic
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience querying data, data interpretation, analysis and report generation
Familiar with supply chain processes (e.g. transportation planning, inventory planning, warehouse management)
