The QA Engineer is responsible for developing, planning, and coordinating manual QA testing and certification. The QA Engineer will ensure that IT projects and initiatives are of high quality and “bug” free before they are released to production. The QA Engineer will take ownership of creating and maintaining test cases. This individual will ensure that defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked and resolved in the defect tracking system. The QA Engineer will work closely with Product Owners and Developers to create test cases, understand regression testing needs, and execute tests to drive quality.

Create test strategy for new features and existing products. Determine test case priority and execution frequency. Write concise and detailed test cases that provide complete information.
Continuously improve and maintain test case library, test software releases related to feature improvements and new product development.
Stay current with updated tools and methodologies to optimize and improve QA testing skillset.
Execute tests in a precise and methodical way and carefully record the results, logging any defects, usability problems, and performance issues. Advocate remediation with urgency.
Perform manual testing of custom, complex business applications including web, and custom software applications, websites and partner integrations for functionality, usability, performance, and browser compatibility in a .NET environment.
Identify and analyze software defects, and file clear and thorough bug reports.
Manage, validate and track issues identified by QA or outside of the QA department throughout their lifecycle. Verify resolved defects & update test cases.
Work in an AGILE software development life cycle environment. Take ownership for quality in the software development process and act as an advocate for end users and prospective customers.
Understand the systems from a user perspective. Learn about the Plexus opportunity and advocate for the business needs of our Ambassadors and Customers.
Effectively multi-task and prioritize initiative and assignments to meet business needs.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics or related field.
2-5 years experience testing enterprise level software preferably user-facing ecommerce solutions.
Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting.
2+ years experience with agile/scrum and testing full stack development.
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
5 years experience Manual Software Testing an black box testing.
