ABOUT THE POSITION
The Sales Operations Manager creates and drives efficiencies, protocol, and policies to contribute to the profitability and effectiveness of the wholesale sales commercial channel. They are responsible for building and refining business operations policies, and best practices. This person successfully works cross-functionally with other departments including Planning, Marketing, Finance and IT to implement and execute business strategies. They are responsible for the overall performance of the Wholesale Sales operations ensuring alignment of SOREL current and future needs.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Liaise with Sales Operations Shared Services teams with goal of ensuring success of SOREL sales teams.
Manage ongoing and on-boarding training of sales force as it relates to order book management tools: Nucleus, ATS reporting, PowerBI dashboards, etc.
Coordinates all communication with the sales force, including maintenance and establishment of new or existing communication tools.
Works with Sales Management on pre-season establishment of sales programs.
Works with Sales Management staff to ensure that our sales force has the necessary reporting and selling tools in place.
Works with internal functions to develop tools where needed to improve the selling processes.
Ensures that SOREL’s sales force is properly trained on use of these tools to maximize effectiveness.
Drive consistency throughout the selling organization by identifying opportunities to standardize business processes and drive operational excellence.
Responsible for development of sell in and sell through reporting for SOREL team.
Support Sales Team in providing data / analysis in support of sales initiatives: Omni-Channel inventory, RSM strategic planning meetings, Sales Mgmt tool development to assist with strategic planning, etc.
Advocate for SOREL brand-enhancing retailers to be added to SPS Commerce partner retailers; determine budget impact to ensure resources are spent in the right places.
Advocate for SOREL in 3rd party market data conversations, ensuring that SOREL has access to applicable and relevant market data to help drive brand growth
YOU ARE
Experienced in a role blends a mix of autonomy with regular collaboration with cross-functional company teammates in Marketing, Merchandising, Analytics, Operations, and Planning.
Experienced in fast-paced environments and an ability to estimate, balance, and adhere to complex and changing timelines.
Passionate about Product!
YOU HAVE
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
5+ years’ experience of wholesale industry, apparel a plus!
Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
Proven people manager and be able to manage a team.
You understand the wholesale landscape and have a strong sales operations expertise in account services, and love leading a team.
Have an established track record as a proven sales operations professional leading a team to provide best in class customer service.
Knowledge of supply chain management, inventory, operations, and production control.
Experience working with advanced ERP systems.
