Lockheed Martin is seeking a Financial Analyst for our facility in Archbald, PA located just outside of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. The ideal Financial Analyst must be able to work with a highly motivated, high performing program finance team.

As a member of the Archbald Estimating and Pricing organization, this individual will be responsible for developing, analyzing, reviewing, and submitting timely cost volumes for all Archbald proposals. These activities will include but are not limited to: assisting with the coordination of all proposal activities during the entire life cycle of the proposal, analyzing program requirements, coordinating and preparing Basis of Estimates (BOEs), reviewing proposal inputs and ensuring all proposal due dates are met. This job requires coordination with the program Functional Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Program Office, Business Development and Finance organizations.

Our Archbald facility has grown significantly over the last year with additional growth forecasted over the next several years. We have many international opportunities as well as new product releases that has gained high visibility within our senior management team and will provide our financial analysts the ability to showcase their talents and skills to all levels of management within Missiles and Fire Control. This position will allow the employee to learn as well as providing the opportunity to grow with the business.

Lockheed Martin’s Archbald facility is a full-service Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) mission area that provides design, manufacturing, engineering, and field service and support to its domestic and international customers. The site supports two product lines: Precision Guided Systems (PGS) and Nuclear Systems. The PGS line of business designs and manufactures air-to-ground weapon and training systems for the US Military and international allied customers. It supports two primary sets of customers in our Nuclear Systems line of business. On the military side, it has provided safety-critical nuclear instrumentation and controls (I&C) systems for naval submarines and aircraft carriers for over 60 years; on the commercial side, it designs and manufactures I&C products for the commercial nuclear power industry.

Located in the Appalachian Mountain range, Archbald, a suburb of Scranton, is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania and is part of Lackawanna County. Northeastern Pennsylvania is home to Pocono International Speedway NASCAR Race Series, minor league baseball and hockey, several ski areas and adventure sports. The city of Scranton and the surrounding area hosts many colleges, universities, and technical schools: Lackawanna College, Marywood University, The University of Scranton, Penn State University, Johnson College, The Commonwealth Medical College, Misericordia University, Wilkes University, Kings' College and Fortis Institute.

Where can you get to from Archbald? Philadelphia and NYC are a short two hour drive, Binghamton, NY is a short 1 hour north, and the Pocono Mountains and Lake Wallenpaupack are nearby. The entire region is about 100 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia. The Northeastern PA region offers an excellent cost of living and is a great place to live.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or related discipline
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure/deadlines and ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly
  • Ability to analyze and summarize data for management presentation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and other advanced functions, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance so must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Electronic Financial Systems (EFS)
  • Ability to create and analyze Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
  • Ability to coordinate with PMs, CAMs, and Engineers to collect data
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables and lookup functions
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with program management
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, assume ownership and drive projects and issues to completion
