The Disney Central Florida Sales Team at Walt Disney World Resort. The team’s post-arrival and in-market sales efforts provide the Disney experience for guests staying outside of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. We partner with affiliated hotels and resorts, local Destination Management Companies, and third-party ticket sellers to sell Walt Disney World Resort tickets to guests throughout Central Florida.
Responsibilities :Client Services Coordinator Internship:
The Central Florida Sales and Services Coordinator intern will have the opportunity to serve as a primary contact and driver of business for the Front Line Sales Representatives in the local tourist market, providing direct sales guidance to influence ticket sales.
Facilitate daily visits to surrounding Central Florida hotels and resorts in a Disney Themed vehicle
Serve as a primary contact for the Front Line Sales Representatives** in the local tourist market
Provide support, resources, and guidance to Front Line Sales Representatives** regarding current Walt Disney World Operations
Distribute marketing collateral (i.e., brochures and flyers) to increase Disney visibility within the highly competitive Central Florida tourist market
Maintain point-of-purchase (POP) displays (i.e., brochure racks) for over 300 off-property Guest Service locations throughout Central Florida
Develop and maintain relationships with Guest Service Companies* to influence ticket sales
Monitor and report daily interactions between Front Line Sales Representatives** and Guests to ensure proper nomenclature is being utilized when referencing Walt Disney World Resort
Provide feedback on processes to improve and enhance our current operation with internal and external partners
Engage with clients to answer questions and resolve concerns
Participate in special events and experiences
Utilize Salesforce system for client communications, training, and POP update
- Guest Service Company: A company that contracted with The Walt Disney Company to sell tickets to Walt Disney World Resort
Affiliated hotels and resorts (Good Neighbor Hotels), local Destination Management Companies (Official Ticket Center), and third-party ticket sellers (Expedia, Walmart)
**Front Line Sales Representative:
An employee of a Guest Service Company, or hotel brand, that is located in various resorts, hotels, and locations around Central Florida selling Walt Disney World Resort tickets
An Expedia employee may be stationed, selling Walt Disney World Resort tickets, at a desk in the Courtyard Marriott on International Drive.
Basic Qualifications :
These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for this position:
Strong Guest Services, partnering, networking, and relationship building skills
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as telephone and office etiquette
Tech savvy with demonstrated computer proficiency including:
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and strong Excel skills
Ability to utilize influencing skills, demonstrate brand awareness and complete competitive analysis on key finding in the market place
Ability to multi-task and demonstrate proactive problem solving and critical thinking in a fast paced environment
Proven ability to handle confidential information
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Proven knowledge of Walt Disney World Resort property, products and services
Desire to work with third-party providers, local hotel partners, and front line ticket sellers
Must have a valid US Driver’s License. Candidate must be willing and able to operate a company vehicle under inclement weather
Strong time management skills, dependability, and accountability
Prior experience in a sales or office environment
Prior experience in Salesforce
Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish and/or Portuguese
Experience in program facilitation, instruction, or group training
Required Education :
Currently enrolled as a junior or higher, or graduated within 6 months, in an accredited college/university earning a degree majoring in Management, Communication, Sales and Marketing, Hospitality, Public Relations or related major.
Additional Information :Internship Eligibility:
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must provide full work availability
Must provide own transportation to/from work
Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
