Maintains customer database by entering new or updated customer/account information and daily sales orders and/or related information. Scans source documents after entry so that the documents are archived electronically.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Under direct supervision maintains customer database by entering any new and updated customer and account information on a keyboard.
o Actively assists Customer Service personnel in maintaining successful relationships with sales agents and customers through phone, email and fax.
o Processes customer and account source documents by reviewing documents for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the Manager for resolution.
o Enters sales order data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information.
o Maintains data entry requirements by following data entry techniques and procedures.
o Verifies entered customer and order data by reviewing, deleting, correcting, and/or re-entering data that may or may not have been correct initially.
o Uses optical scanner to scan source documents for electronic archiving.
o Confirms receipt of sales orders to customers / distributors.
o Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
o Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results.
o Assists Customer Service Manager with day to day operations and planning.
o Other duties as assigned related to training and background.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent plus one to two years related experience in a customer support role. Experience with supporting a remote, field based sales organization is strongly preferred. Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (preferably Epicor) is strongly desired. Strong organizational, typing, and data entry skills are required. Attention to detail, thoroughness, decision making, independence, and a results driven attitude are also important.
