Are you interested in joining a rapidly-growing government contracting company? Our firm is in need of a self-motivated and experienced HR Assistant to support our busy HR department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support for the department, assisting with the hiring process, scheduling new employee orientations and training and entering of a high volume of employment records into our HR database.

Our HR Assistant serves as a direct link between employees and the company. The person in this role will provide day-to-day support to employees in a variety of areas including staffing, records retention and maintenance, benefits administration, payroll, employee relations and other projects as needed.If you are a professional with a strong sense of discretion and a background in human resources, we want to hear from you.


* Perform administrative work, including scheduling, maintaining files and sorting mail for the Human Resources department

* Maintain Employee Files, I9s and e-verify; ensure Compliance with all laws and company policies and upload all files

* Track and manage specialized Background Check Processes for customer requirements

* Enter employment data into computer database

* Process benefits enrollments and changes in Benefits Administration system

* Provide direction and answer inquiries pertaining to benefit programs, human resources processes, unemployment inquiries and requests

* Respond to general inquiries on HR policies and procedures of employees and escalate to management as needed

* Assists the department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees

* Oversee the hiring process, including drafting offer letters,

* Assists in the administration of the payroll process by verifying employee timecards with department schedules


* Associate degree in HR-related field required (Bachelor’s preferred)

* 3+ years’ related administrative experience

* Detail-oriented and organized

* Strong communication and customer service skills

* Excellent organizational and time-management skills

* Must be driven to achieve results, highly attentive to detail and accuracy.

* Ability to thrive under pressure, in a high performance, fast paced environment without compromising quality.

* High comfort level with technology; familiar with using technology to increase workload efficiencies.

* Teamwork skills

* Solid understanding of MS Office
