Center Information: The Quantitative Biomedical Research Center (QBRC) is a well-established research center at UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW). It aims to foster collaborations involving quantitative methods and technologies in any aspect of biomedical research, particularly for understanding disease etiologies and developing treatment and prevention strategies. Currently, the center has five faculty members, around 30 staff members, postdocs and student research assistants. We are actively recruiting new staff or postdoc members to join this new and dynamic group.
Position Title: Bioinformatics Staff or Postdoctoral Fellow
Duties & Responsibilities: We have performed whole-genome/whole-exome-seq, RNAseq, methylation sequencing/array and ChIP-seq for hundreds of tumor and normal samples from three different projects, and the candidate will be responsible for comprehensive analysis on all these datasets from our own labs to identify new therapeutic targets and biomarkers for experimental validation through our local collaborators. In addition, these projects include developing novel method for analysis and integration of cancer genomics and other forms of high-dimensional -omics data.

Position Qualifications: Candidates should have a doctoral degree in either one of the following fields, including genetics/genomics, bioinformatics, computer science, biostatistics, computational biology or a related field. Experience in NGS data analysis is required.
