PSEG is seeking an intern for the Occupational Health Department in the Newark, NJ location.

Job Description / Potential Job Duties:
The Occupational Health Intern position will provide the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in the health sciences in a professional utilities industry environment. Major responsibilities include working with team members to assist in day-to-day activities of the medical department; support safety programs and occupational health practices; assist in coordination and preparation of reports, policies, and procedures; coordinate and host project meetings and presentations.

Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, or related field from an accredited 4 year institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration. Candidates must have excellent oral and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail. Must have excellent analytical capabilities and be proficient with MS Office. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. GPA information MUST be included on your resume for employment consideration.

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period for the full 10-12 week period. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students with GPA of 3.0 staying in the NJ/NY/PA metro area for the duration of the internship and able to commute to the assigned work location. Housing, transportation, or immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions now or in the future.

As an employee of PSE&G or PSEG Long Island, you should be aware that during storm restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
