Dynamic, diversified 7th generation dairy farm seeks Farm Worker to join a positive team and support core farm functions focused on the care, feeding, and milking of our herd of 125 registered Holsteins. Applicants must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, willing to learn, and team-oriented; experience with machinery strongly preferred.
Great opportunity to work and learn about soil health, animal husbandry, farm machinery, and how they all work together as part of a systematic approach to farming.
Core Responsibilities:
- Day to day cleaning and maintaining of barns
- Perform routine maintenance of machinery
- Feeding cattle
- Assisting with field work
- Managing on-farm systems for storing and processing grain for feed
Hours and Compensation:
- 50 hours/week with some seasonal variability
- $18-20/hour, depending on experience if housing not required
- $16-18/hour, with on-farm housing
- Paid time off and sick leave
