We’re currently searching for a Server Administrator II, Lead or Sr. to join our dynamic team at USAble Life in Little Rock, AR.

The Server Administrator II, Lead or Sr. will:
Be accountable for analysis, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software and hardware deployments of systems within the company.
Be expected to conduct detailed analysis of defined system specifications and to make recommendations of workable solutions to potential and/or existing problems.
Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written to ensure that a productive and cooperative climate is maintained with all customers of the USAble Life's private systems, our partners, various vendors, and other members of the team.
Will require a technically adept individual who can work in teams across organizational boundaries, applying creative thought to solve complex computing challenges. Candidate is required to be knowledgeable of emerging / leading edge technologies and have the technical creativity to develop technological solutions for complex business challenges.

Server Administrator II, Lead or Sr. Essential Duties:
Apply deep expertise to develop and mature the discipline of Systems, Storage, and Backup and Recovery Administration throughout the organization including development of organizational policies and standards.
Participate in resolving Service Desk tickets and requests as they relate to server and systems functions. Activities include leading resolution efforts stemming from priority on-call response, incident management and root cause analysis.
Perform network implementation and engineering functions including, but not limited to, day-to-day change and configuration management activities, firmware updates, or patches to software and appliances.
Manage policy, documentation, and process for IT network controls as they relate to our corporate COBIT framework. The work includes but is not limited to conceptual, logical, and physical server architecture, security solutions, design packages, and standards documents.
Help monitor and maintain environment of Windows and Red Hat Linux systems, in a mixed physical and virtual environment
Stay abreast and evaluates new products that aid the advancement of server and system capabilities related to security, availability and stability of the server infrastructure. Determine strategic approaches for the customer, based on assessment of customer needs.
Assist in the planning, forecasting, and estimating of resource requirements for systems in corporate initiative planning, cost benefit analysis, and business opportunity templates. Participate in systems planning, systems architecture design and engineering.

Required Skills

Server Administrator II:
  • Ensure 24/7 availability on the various systems
  • Experience deploying non-Microsoft systems based on provided requirements - e.g. Citrix, TumbleWeed FTP, JAMs, Fax, etc

Server Administrator Lead:
Trained and experienced in managing large scale of Windows Server (2003, 2008 & 2012) operating systems
Knowledge of server monitoring and management tools such as Microsoft SCOM, Microsoft WSUS/SCCM, Microsoft Group Policy, HP SIM, VMware vCenter, SolarWinds, etc
Ensure 24/7 availability on the various systems
Experience deploying non-Microsoft systems based on provided requirements - e.g. Citrix, TumbleWeed FTP, JAMs, Fax, etc
Good understanding of Microsoft productivity suite - Exchange, SharePoint, Lync, etc
Good understanding of enterprise storage management, especially using EMC VNX, Data Domain, XtreamIO

Required Experience

Systems Administrator II:
Basic Required:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 24 semester hours in computer and/or analytical related studies (pref. degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, etc.) and prior experience in systems administration, design, and analysis with emphasis and experience in the skills listed in the basic required experience. Commensurate professional experience can be substituted in lieu of the Bachelor’s Degree if recent systems administrator certifications (one or more), like VCP, MCSA/MCSE, CCA/CCP, CCNA, or similar are obtained.
4-6 years of progressively responsible professional experience in implementing and supporting medium to large scale heterogeneous server, storage, network, and end user computing environments. Moderate skills with extensive proficiency in few areas and high level of proficiency in few others. Solves Problems that require analysis and research. Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments. Extensive knowledge of multiple operating systems and related utilities and hardware.
Or equivalent military experience.

Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field with one or more recent technical certifications are desired.
5 or more years as a systems or network administrator level role in implementing and supporting medium to large scale heterogeneous server, storage, network, and end user computing environments. Demonstrated experience deploying and/or supporting two or more of the following sets of systems:
  • Microsoft Windows Server, VMware vSphere/vCenter, VMware View/Horizon, Citrix XenApp, Citrix XenDesktop

Commensurate professional experience can be substituted in lieu of the Bachelor’s Degree if recent systems administrator certifications (two or more), like VCP, MCSE, CCP, CCNP, or other of similar level and complexity are obtained.
7 or more years of progressively responsible professional experience in implementing and supporting medium to large scale heterogeneous server, storage, network, and end user computing environments. Highly-skilled professional with extensive track record of demonstrated proficiency in the industry. Develops large and/or complex solutions that require substantial analysis, research, and planning. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or frequently as the subject matter expert. Extensive knowledge of multiple operating systems and related utilities and hardware.
Or equivalent military experience.

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field with two or more recent technical certifications are desired.
8 or more years as a senior systems/server or architect level role in implementing and supporting medium to large scale heterogeneous server, storage, network, and end user computing environments. Demonstrated experience deploying and/or supporting three or more of the following sets of systems:
