Franklin Synergy Bank is seeking a Post Close Review Specialist to assist our Loan Operations department. This position will be responsible for reviewing loans after they are booked and verifying complete documentation. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Your day-to-day life as a Post Close Review Specialist may include:
Reviewing all new and renewed loan booking packages for completeness; accuracy of approval, documentation and booking; and adherence to regulatory requirements and bank policy and procedures.
Comparing the loan approval/credit memo to the loan documents and core system to ensure that loan documents and servicing system are accurate.
Reviewing and/or assisting in the assembly and organization of the credit and collateral loan files.
Ensuring all required documents were returned and properly signed, dated, etc.
Initiating corrective action on errors noted in the documentation and/or system.
Ensuring all documents are stored correctly in FDM.
Recording or clears exception items on the tracking/tickler system as needed.
Verifying lien perfections for collateral.
Effectively communicating to lenders/loan assistants errors and required corrections needed on files by ensuring exceptions are set up for missing, incomplete and trailing documents.
Communicating significant or frequent errors and discrepancies to the originating personnel and their supervisor.
Recommending to management changes for process improvement based on file review findings and trends, specifically improvements of the workflow from loan processing, documentation and loan booking on consumer, commercial and construction real estate loans.
Assisting with the development of department policies and procedures to insure regulatory compliance and maximize efficiency.
Staying abreast of regulatory, legal, policy and procedural changes to insure a strong understanding of all aspect of loan product requirements.
Assisting with research requests, audit reviews and department projects as needed.
Assisting lenders, loan assistants, auditors and management with loan or collateral questions.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
For you to thrive in this role, we ask you to have:
5-7 years of experience in an office/operations
A high school diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with bank Core systems
A solid understanding of commercial and consumer lending functions, credit functions and general understanding of accounting basics.
A solid knowledge and understanding of various types of collateral related to typical, as well as complex, commercial and consumer loan documents (both internally prepared and attorney prepared documents) and audit control procedures.
