We are looking for a hardworking and highly-organized Communications Associate Manager to drive awareness and excitement for developer and partnership programs on the Facebook Gaming team. This person will work with gaming studios and organizations to help spur adoption and evangelize their success across a variety of Facebook Gaming platforms, including Instant Games, our gaming video ecosystem, as well as legacy game platforms. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about technology and new gaming platforms, understands gaming industry and culture, and excels at working across multiple internal and external teams simultaneously. Experience working with developers within the gaming or tech industry is crucial.
This individual should have a track record of planning and executing joint partnerships announcements, game launches and working cross-functionally with partner PR/communications teams and agencies. Being able to work quickly in an always changing industry is key.
This position is full-time and located in either our headquarters in Menlo Park, California or in Seattle, Washington.
Lead the creation and execution of communications plans that drive excitement around Facebook Gaming platforms among developers and partners.
Support Facebook Gaming at industry events.
Manage PR agencies to maximize impact for launches, milestones, and industry events.
Create messaging and tactics that will resonate with the both press and the broader gaming community.
Develop relationships with gaming press, content creators and partners.
Create blog posts, pitches, and other materials that evangelize various game announcements and milestones.
Drive social media strategy and execution around various Facebook Gaming activations.
Organize press events, prep spokespeople, and create briefing materials.
Work with international communications and Facebook Gaming teams on global campaigns.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure product launches, events, and other milestones are supported with games and developers.
Bachelors degree in English, Communications or related field
5+ years of experience in gaming PR or related field
