Edwards Lifesciences is hiring a Sr. Audio Visual Engineer for the 2nd shift (1 p.m. – 10 p.m.).

Edwards Lifesciences is hiring a Sr. Audio Visual Engineer. This role will be the key contact representing the organization on contracts and projects. You will work closely with facilities, end users, sales, AV technicians, and third-party vendors to support audio/visual systems for all Edwards’ conference rooms, training centers and collaboration workspaces.

Responsibilities:
Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations
Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems, may refer to established precedents and policies
Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Identify opportunities for process improvements
Write and/or maintain documentation such as; user manuals and reference guides related to AV equipment
Perform IT hardware and software diagnostics and repairs (Laptops, desktops, mobile computing devices, Audio Video hardware, peripherals, IP Phones, etc.)
Configure, use and maintain CISCO IP Phones
Engage end-user, gathering requirements and analyzing to provide design and architectural recommendations as it relates to AV systems
Develop pre-sale design documentation
Create proposals with a detailed scope of work, a full bill of materials, labor estimates, etc.
Create single line drawings of Audio Visual systems
Create top view equipment layouts, elevations and mounting details
Provide technical support for troubleshooting and field technicians
Develop, organize and maintain standard operational procedures (including regular maintenance requirements) and workflow processes and procedures for AV systems
Create documentation for testing and validation of the AV systems
Maintain relevant and current knowledge and be a leader within assigned technical field
Prioritize work efforts and multi-task in a very fast-paced environment
Develop and maintain A/V floor plans with equipment availability in each conference rooms, training centers and collaboration spaces
Must meet Company minimum driving standards
AV support for high profile meetings

Qualifications

Requirements:
A Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Computer Science or other related area is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
A minimum of 4 years of live-production audio visual support experience is required with a Bachelor’s Degree; a minimum of 3 years of live-production audio visual support experience is required with a Master’s Degree.
Strong knowledge of audio-visual equipment including different types of microphones, mixers, projectors and codecs
Strong knowledge of computers, presentation software and how it works with audio-visual hardware
Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications (Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Skype and Outlook)
Effective cable management skills to maintain organized work stations, data closets and conference rooms
Must have demonstrated verifiable ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop detailed associated tasks and manage these to completion and customer turnover
Ability to adapt and learn new technologies as needed
Strong written and verbal skills
Problem Solving skills including trouble shooting techniques
Strong customer service focused skills
Strong organization and time management skills
High level of professionalism during interactions with customers and vendors
Experience using Help Desk ticketing software to manage service tickets and document support provided
Knowledge hardware/software conferencing solutions; Skype, WePresent, MirrorOp, Crestron and Barco technologies, Polycom and Digital Signage
Knowledge of integration between multiple conferencing hardware/software solution
CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
Network experience is preferred.
Crestron Toolbox and Fusion experience is preferred
Overall audio visual commercial integration industry experience as a hands-on A/V Design Engineer working commercial integration projects is preferred
